A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in keeping financial operations running smoothly by ensuring records are accurate, transactions are properly recorded, and accounts are fully reconciled. You’ll support day-to-day accounting functions, collaborate with internal teams and external partners, and help maintain the integrity of financial data across the organization—all while contributing to critical reporting and compliance efforts during this temporary assignment.
This is a temporary role lasting up to eight months.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Documentation Development: Plan, write, and edit a range of technical documents such as engineering procedures, operational guides, and process instructions—ensuring clarity, accuracy, and usability
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with engineers, subject matter experts, and operational personnel to gather detailed technical content and translate complex concepts into clear, reader-friendly documentation.
- Manage Document Control: Oversee and execute document control processes, including document numbering, revision tracking, approvals, and controlled release, in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Support Continuous Improvement: Recommend enhancements to documentation workflows, tools, and templates; train technical teams on documentation best practices, security classification, and version control.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4 or more years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Experience with accounting software (UNANET experience is a plus)
- Solid analytical, math, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with government accounting is highly desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems
- Ability to accurately analyze and reconcile financial data
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work a temporary assignment (up to 8 months)
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting rate for this position ranges from $31.25 - $38.46 per hour, depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
