A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As a Quality Specialist III, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and continuous improvement of Innoflight’s products and processes. You’ll lead complex quality assurance activities across multiple programs, perform advanced inspections and audits, investigate production and process challenges, and develop solutions that improve operational performance. Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Program Management, customers, and suppliers, you’ll help strengthen our quality systems, support company-level certifications, and ensure our products and processes meet the high standards expected in the aerospace industry.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Leads Quality Initiatives: Leads and supports Quality, Engineering, and Operations programs and initiatives designed to achieve operational goals, improve quality, and enhance organizational performance.
  • Develops Quality Systems: Develops, implements, and maintains quality assurance policies, procedures, control plans, and work instructions across multiple functional areas.
  • Drives Process Improvement: Independently identifies opportunities to optimize internal and external processes, implementing improvements that increase quality, efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
  • Supports Quality Certifications: Contributes to company-level quality certifications and assessments, including CMMI Maturity Level 2/3 and AS9000/AS9100 initiatives.
  • Leads Internal Audits: Plans and performs internal audits to evaluate QMS compliance and ensure processes and systems align with applicable industry standards and requirements.
  • Performs Quality Inspections: Conducts advanced inspections and quality tests across multiple programs, verifying compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and established procedures.
  • Drives Corrective Actions: Identifies production, process, and workflow issues, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions to resolve problems and prevent recurrence.
  • Manages Program Audits: Plans, schedules, and conducts monthly, quarterly, and annual program audits to evaluate performance, compliance, and adherence to quality requirements.
  • Maintains Quality Documentation: Develops and maintains quality documentation, audit reports, work instructions, control plans, and other records required to support effective quality management.
  • Manages Quality Risk: Develops risk mitigation strategies, establishes performance metrics, and evaluates methodologies to identify and address potential quality and operational risks.
  • Supports Customers: Provides direct customer support for hardware and software failures by troubleshooting issues, identifying root causes, and delivering effective resolutions aligned with customer expectations.
  • Manages Supplier Quality: Interfaces with suppliers to ensure quality requirements are met, supports supplier issue resolution, and maintains effective supplier relationships with limited travel as required.
  • Ensures Compliance: Monitors adherence to company standards, safety requirements, regulatory guidelines, and quality system requirements across assigned programs.
  • Provides Technical Leadership: Collaborates with cross-functional teams and provides quality expertise, guidance, and recommendations to support successful program and organizational outcomes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of cross-functional experience across Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Operations, and/or Program or Product Management.
  • Experience in the aerospace industry or another highly regulated industry preferred.
  • Experience supporting quality management systems, audits, inspections, corrective actions, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience contributing to corporate quality certifications and compliance activities preferred.
  • Proficiency with business systems and databases for data entry, information extraction, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio.
  • Experience working with corporate systems and organizational structures; experience in a small to mid-sized company preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across multiple functions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base salary for this position ranges from $95,601 to $143,401 per year, depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, Innoflight offers a well-rounded compensation package that includes a Profit-Sharing Bonus and a Cash Performance Bonus to reward both individual and company performance.
