A DAY IN THE LIFE:
As an Inventory Specialist I, you’ll support the flow of materials that keep operations running smoothly—from receiving and storing inventory to tracking usage and maintaining accurate records. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure inventory accuracy, identify process improvements, and prevent loss, all while keeping storage areas organized and audit-ready.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage Inventory Operations: Receive, inspect, store, and distribute materials, equipment, and supplies while maintaining accurate system records.
- Maintain Inventory Accuracy: Perform cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and support physical inventory audits to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor Inventory Flow: Track inventory movement and usage to ensure proper stock levels and availability for operational needs.
- Analyze and Report Data: Compile inventory, cost, and variance reports; identify trends and provide recommendations to management.
- Improve Processes and Controls: Collaborate with management to enhance inventory procedures, optimize workflows, and implement loss prevention strategies.
- Support Team Coordination: Work with internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment of inventory needs and assist in training less experienced staff.
- Resolve Issues Proactively: Investigate inventory discrepancies, address operational challenges, and escalate issues as needed.
- Maintain Organized Storage Areas: Ensure stockrooms and storage facilities are clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
- Inventory Systems & Data Management: Comfortable working with ERP or inventory systems to track, update, and analyze inventory data accurately.
- Attention to Detail & Accuracy: Strong ability to maintain precise records, perform reconciliations, and catch discrepancies early.
- Organization & Time Management: Skilled at prioritizing tasks, managing inventory flow, and maintaining orderly storage environments.
- Collaboration & Communication: Works effectively with cross-functional teams and communicates clearly with peers and management.
- Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Proactively identifies inefficiencies and contributes to process enhancements and loss prevention.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1+ years of experience in inventory control, stockroom, or warehouse operations
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook (data entry, basic reporting, and analysis)
- Familiarity with Flowtrac and/or Unanet is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a team-oriented mindset
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
The starting hourly range for this position ranges from $27.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a competitive base salary, Innoflight offers a well-rounded compensation package that includes a Profit-Sharing Bonus and a Cash Performance Bonus to reward both individual and company performance.
